What You Should Know
When rollers come out of the track, the door can hang crooked, jam half open, or pull its panels out of shape. Because the door is still connected to high-tension springs and cables, an off-track door is one of the riskier situations in a garage.
Common causes include a car bumping the door, a snapped lift cable, a bent or loose track, worn rollers, or the opener pushing against an obstruction. We fix the damage and the cause behind it so it doesn’t happen again next week.

Off-Track Repair Questions
Stop using it. Unplug the opener or don’t press the button, keep people and pets clear of the door, and don’t try to force it back into place. Then give us a call.
It can be. A door that’s stuck open leaves your home unsecured, and a door hanging crooked can fall. We treat these calls as a priority and offer same-day service whenever possible.
Minor bends can often be straightened and re-secured. Kinked, cracked or badly twisted track sections should be replaced. We’ll tell you which applies after inspecting it.
Usually not. Most off-track doors can be rehung once the track, rollers or cables are fixed. Replacement only comes up if panels are badly bent or cracked.
We provide off-track repair across Charlotte Metro and the Carolinas, including Charlotte, Concord, Huntersville, Matthews, Gastonia, Rock Hill, Fort Mill and 50+ nearby cities. See the full service area.
